SHAWU DISTRICT MASTER PLAN DESIGN

Little Diversified Architectural Consulting, FALL 2024

Publication Design, Typography, Adobe InDesign and Illustrator

Little worked with the ShawU District to help plan for the future of the university. This was a 3 phase project I worked on with the community architecture team at Little to take their research and compile it into a deliverable to give to Shaw to implement the master plan. I used this project as a template to give to the team to use for future masterplanning documentation for various clients.

A template for future design process documentation.

This 210 page document details in-depth the origins and history of Shaw University, records results from audience engagement sessions, analyses their current campus, and details the design process of arriving to the final master plan.

The document was intentionally designed to easily input future client’s images and brand assets to make the document uniquely feel like their own.

The design utilizes Shaw University’s branding and assets throughout. Color application is used as wayfinding to help readers easily differentiate the work completed in the different phases. These colors and breather pages can be adapted for each client.

Key takeaway breather pages at the end of each section help to summarize the content covered in that section.
